Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the levels of apelin peptide in patients with heart disease and diabetes. The study began in the period from February to July 2022. 75 samples were obtained, divided into two groups: the patient group, which included 50 samples, and the healthy group, which included 25 samples. Tests were conducted on them after collecting samples for the purpose of comparison with healthy controls. It was compared with the healthy group. Twenty-five (25) samples were collected from healthy people who did not suffer from any disease and whose ages were consistent with the ages of the patients. Blood samples were collected from patients arriving at Samarra General Hospital. Blood was drawn from diabetic patients using sterile medical syringes and these samples were centrifuged. The blood serum was then withdrawn using an electronic pipette and placed in Eppendorf tubes. The sample was divided into several sections in order to avoid re- Freezing and thawing: These tubes are given numbers and symbols so that they can be identified later and stored at -20 degrees.
